I travel every single day. I pack my bags and journey to wherever I wish for that night. I lie on my cotton raft and drift to a secluded island. The palm trees sway in the breeze. I feel the air caress my curly locks. I am slim with dark hair that flows down my back. I have similar physical features, but not at all the person I am in the flesh. I adore the sun from a shaded spot tucked away from any television, radio, or magazines. No traffic of cars, horns, or angry pedestrians flooding my memories with negative images. I sit there, just my thoughts and me, enjoying the calm loneliness.
I embark on this adventure every night, every free moment I get. Daydream voyages last only a few moments. Sometimes a few moments are all I need to feel a sense of serenity. I travel to escape my life, my present reality. There is no smoking or alcohol in my world, no heartache or lies, no sorrow through loss of family members or stress......
