Have you ever read a good book with a happy ending? In August Wilson’s play, Fences, he demonstrates how life can change with a person passing away. In the beginning of the play Troy separates his family, but in the end his death brings the whole family together. Even though this play ends in tragedy, it also ends with a sense of reconciliation and a warm family reunion. Indeed, Fences is a true story of moral reconciliation the theme represents character growth as Cory learns to interpret history, forgive, reunite with his family and find peace.
