Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler’s regime, daily life for Jews was full of terror. Hitler created a plan to rid Germany of all Jews; describing it as a “racial cleansing”. Initially the plan consisted of forcefully removing the jews and resettling them in other parts of the world, however, this plan failed because many countries had immigation policies that wouldn’t allow him to get rid of all the jews. The failure of the initial plan gave birth to “The Final Solution”, the planned extermination of the Jewish people.
As fear, terror, torture and eventually death became part of Jewish everyday life, the thought of help seemed impossible. During the Holocaust, because of the fear of losing their own lives, few Germans would dare to help Jews.
