I Was a Teenage Mother - Essay and Term Paper
Life throws you a curve ball. Do you catch and embrace it, or do you duck and ignore it? I learned at an early age that being a young mother was not easy. My mother became pregnant when she was 15 years old. She had three children by the time she was 21 and went from one abusive relationship to another. I knew that I didn’t want that life for myself. I liked school and I was a good student. I planned to finish high school, go to college, and become a nurse. Then, I got pregnant at 15 and was scared that all my future plans were over. While I didn’t plan on having a baby at such an early age, I learned that being a teenage mother is not the end of the world.
