Media influence refers to the way in which the mass media in all their forms effect a person’s behavior. For children, especially, watching violent television, playing violent video games, and listening to popular music. The rise of interactive media such as video games and the internet has introduced new ways for children to be exposed to violence. Research attempts to determine whether media violence is especially music lyrics, television, and video games are related to subsequent violent behavior among children.
