The morning-after pill is an emergency contraceptive meaning it’s a contraceptive that’s used normally after sex to prevent the effects of pregnancy occurring. These morning-after pills work best when taken within 120 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse but can reduce the risk of pregnancy by 75-89% when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse. There has been heavy debate over whether to ban or not ban the use of the morning-after pill. For the good of society, the morning-after pill should not be banned for countless reasons. Considering a couple had unprotected sex, the female would feel most uncomfortable with the fear of becoming pregnant.
