Concentration of media ownership have a negative impact on journalism in South Africa - Essay and Term Paper
This essay will argue that concentration of media ownership have negative impact on journalism. It will start by explaining the consequences of media concentration under apartheid. Lack of competition under apartheid resulted in inferior journalism. The last part will argue that concentration of media ownership does not always have negative impact on journalism, but the quality of journalism depends on the relationship between ownership and control of the content.
