In order to properly analyzing a child day care, one must observe and be aware of a full day schedule to have the proper information. A full day consists of about six or seven hours. Through out those hours children should be occupied at all time with learning and play. Each daycare or child center’s daily schedule of activities is different. The Richmond Hill Children Center is where I observed through out my observations, piecing together a full day of activities which kept the children engaged in learning whether through story reading or free play. Daily Schedule The daily schedule is broken up into specified time spans in which the children are engaged in numerous activities. Here is the break down of their day: 8:30 – 9:15 Table top toys (blocks, snaps, Mr. Potato head.…...) 9:15 – 10:00 Circle time 10:00 – 10:30 Snack 10:30 – 11:00 Play time in different centers in the class room 11:00......
