Science has become a religion - Essay and Term Paper
In many aspects science has become a religion in our society. Everything we do is based on it, including every class we take in school. When defined in a dictionary the word science means the state of knowing; a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method. I feel, though, that the definition of religion (a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices) relates better.
During school, we are taught that everything our teachers are telling us is the answer, the only answer. We believe, including myself, every fact that is proven with our scientific way of thinking. It’s the same when we are at church. God does what he does for a reason, he is never wrong.
