How can a company who has opened 6,691 retail stores and employees 1.8 million workers worldwide be headlined in every newspaper across the country? Why would the public fight back against a company who is the largest corporate cash contributor in the United States exceeding over $245 million last year in charities? Easy, because the name is Wal-Mart, and now Wal-Mart is in the midst of a new public relations campaign aimed at countering criticisms leveled against it by organized labor and others that Wal-Mart's practices are harmful to workers and to the communities in which it operates.
