Every country and religion has their own feasts and their own celebrations. A feast is considered a commemorative banquet symbolizing unity. Feasts are generally associated with rituals and later with different religious practices. Feasts may also commemorate events such as birth, harvest, marriage, or even death. The principal Christian feasts are Easter, Pentecost, Epiphany and Christmas. In the Muslim world however, the Islamic feasts vary according to country and location, although there are several days of universal importance, the most important being the Eid Ul Fitir and the Shahr al-Maw hid. Both religions have festivals that are similar and some that are different. No two religions are ever alike; each is different in their own way. Some beliefs and teachings may be the same, but the way that it is celebrated is different in every country and origin.
