I have chosen to teach reading comprehension through theater because theatrical skills require a performer to have excellent reading skills as well as excellent critical thinking skills. I have taken the information from these books: Respect for Acting, Theatre for Community Conflict and Dialogue: The Hope Is Vital Training Manual, The Dramatic Arts and Cultural Studies, Acting against the Grain, Creating a Role, Strategies that Work, and the articles, 'I thought about it all night': Readers Theatre for reading fluency and motivation, BEARS DON'T NEED PHONICS......
