Casablanca
The classic and much-loved romantic drama Casablanca, is frequently found on many top-ten film lists made by many brilliant critics. I observed the film to find a much deeper meaning in which I believe I have discovered. In this film is a masterful tale of two men trying to capture the love of one beautiful women. The films screenwriter is Howard Koch who does a fantastic job, and was directed by Michael Curtiz, with such classic stars as Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine and Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa. It focuses on Rick's conflict between love and virtue. He must choose between his love for Ilsa and his need to do the right thing by helping her husband Victor Laszlo, Resistance hero, escape from Casablanca and continue his fight against the Nazis.
