Making Ends Meet
Many low-income parents are continuing to work long hours but are still struggling to provide for their family. Minimum wage jobs have few benefits, which mean low-income families have no or little healthcare insurance. Minimum wage does not supply enough income to feed families. Due to the cost of living and childcare expenses, low income single families are not able to save money for emergencies or even family vacations. Child support is not always dependable to support single family homes either. To help with this struggling issue, the government should also assist with half of benefits for single working families to support their families. The benefits received by the government can support hardships such as, childcare expenses as well as healthcare expenses. Many singles individuals can not obtain good paying jobs because they can not afford childcare that would cover the normal hours between 8am to 5pm. to work. ......
