The 1970s: A Real-Time Vision
In 1972, five former IBM employees -- Dietmar Hopp, Hans-Werner Hector, Hasso Plattner, Klaus Tschira, and Claus Wellenreuther -- launch a company called SAP Systems Analysis and Program Development in Mannheim, Germany.
